CMS Extension Development

We've been developing custom components and extensions for years. If you can think of the application, we've had some experience with elements of it. If you have a need in your CMS that doesn't exist in your respective CMS ecosystem, we can write a bespoke solution for you.

Ecommerce and Web Shop Setup

We've done three full Shopify store deployments and we want to do yours as well. If you have a product you want to sell, let us do the work for you. A hosted SaaS solution like Shopify is cost effective on the development side of the equation. There is no server cost or application development and maintenance for you to worry about. If you don't have any really specialized application requirements for your store, then this is often the best way to go.

We'll help select your template, place your products and build out your supporting pages, help you set up a payment channel, find third party apps to fulfill your use cases, and if the functionality you want doesn't exist, we can write it from scratch!

API integrations

Modern web applications almost always interface with some kind of external service or application, through an Application Programming Interface. If there is a service that you want to consume in your website or app, or if you want to expose your own data in a custom API we can definitely help. There isn't an API that we can't get working for you.

Tools We use

A good project workflow will yield many benefits over time. Manageable Project cadence and documentation being just two of them. That good workflow, can also save you money in the long run, and help keep your project stable. You may have a small team or even a single developer that is working with out a good workflow. We can help them get set up with the right tools and help them maintain the project through help with a good workflow specification, and continuous integration help.

Our CMS Extensions

FreeFlow allows you to give your visitors a sampling of your paid subscription content on a per device basis. It takes the device fingerprint of your visitors and keeps a record of them for you. When the visits are exhausted they are redirected to your Paywall.

Freeflow adds a user to the right user group and view access level for the content you want to show off. It does this only for the current page and stops doing so, when the hit count for your users device reaches the limit.

MMI has had a relationship with this group since April of 2016. We have taken over the management of all things technical for them. In that time we've formalized the development workflow, manage feature delivery and provide 70% of the development.

Here are some highlights:

Restructured and implemented the company development workflow and protocol.
Manage other developers, code reviews, sprint formulation and direction.
Implemented a project management system.
Refactored out found anti-pattern code implementations throughout the application.
Implemented OOP and various design pattern to consolidate duplication and poorly written code.
Implemented PHPUnit tests for refactored functionality to help preserve intent and application efficacy.

This is an application that MMI built for this group which centers around building consensus around ideas, and coming up with democratized course of action among groups and organizations.

Designed development workflow and policies.
Implemented the project management framework.
Formulated sprints and managed the development team.

Served as principal technical architect of the entire system.

Cameron B Founder, CEO

Cameron is a PHP Application Developer and consultant and spends much of his time furthering the business goals of his company Magnetic Merchandising Inc. which he started in 2005. Cameron has provided technical deployment and consultation for many entities since starting MMI. Much of that work has been in complex hosted auction platforms, professional Joomla! deployments and extension development and sales.

As such, Cameron has acquired a deep technical skill-set, a sensitivity to client needs, and the ability to produce anything those clients can visualize. Everyday, he actively seeks out and becomes familiar technologies that will give MMI clients maximum return for their web development and general e-presence dollar.
